The Venice Pier Beach is at the long fishing pier jutting out into the Pacific Ocean from the Venice District of Los Angeles. This area of LA has a reputation for great people watching and street entertainers. This is a fabulous place to get out and bike or walk.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The pier is a long walking route in itself and has the reward of superb views. Ocean Front Walk is a paved pedestrian path that runs north and south right in front of the buildings that face the waves. A paved bike path also takes off north from the pier on the beach offering a bicycle route to Santa Monica. Bike rentals are available near the beach.<\/p>\n

Venice Pier Beach is popular with surfers who tend to catch waves nearest the pier. Volleyball courts are available not far from the parking lot at the pier. The beach is wide here so there is room for everyone.<\/p>\n
