Summer Restrictions 2022

Beaches and Harbors will not approve filming or parking on weekends at County owned/operated beaches nor at property located in the City of Marina del Rey, during the summer season beginning Saturday, May 28th through Sunday, September 11th.  This also includes Memorial Day, July 4, and Labor Day weekends. 

With 15.2 acres of bluff and beach property and over one mile of ocean frontage, Dan Blocker Beach draws surfers, divers, and scuba enthusiasts. Other activities at this sandy, narrow beach include swimming and fishing.

A City of Malibu permit is required in addition to the FilmLA permit
Still photography or small film shoots with hand held equipment will be allowed. Groups no larger than 10.
All equipment must be walked down to the beach.
The beach is subject to being under water at high tide.
