Formerly named Sportsman Park, the park was renamed after one of the most celebrated Olympians of all time, Jesse Owens, the winner of four gold medals in the 1932 Berlin Olympics. Jesse Owens Park is home to one of two heated indoor pools in the South Los Angeles area. Just minutes away from LAX, Jesse Owens Park provides recreational activities including baseball, flag football, basketball, soccer, tennis and aqua aerobics.
