Summer Restrictions 2022

Beaches and Harbors will not approve filming or parking at Surfrider at all during the summer season beginning Saturday, May 28th through Sunday, September 11th. 

Malibu “Surfrider” Beach has almost a mile of ocean frontage with 0.7 acres of property. The famous Malibu Pier accents this small beach area for a picturesque vista.

A City of Malibu permit is required in addition to the FilmLA permit

Still photography or small film shoots with hand held equipment will be allowed.

Groups no larger than 10.

No trucks larger than 40 feet will be allowed in parking lot

Total of 25 parking spaces allowed. Only one 40-foot truck allowed in lot.
